“I hope you'll excuse me for saying it, but belief is so often the death of reason.” - S5 E8 Game of Thrones, Qyburn to Cersei
Hah. Is there not a universe of truth in this? How often do we abandon all logic and reason because of a belief we carry? How closed-minded must we be at times to throw all logic and reason to the wind over a shred of “belief”?
I love a good quote, and I have to say, this one is timeless.
Thanks for popping in.
Celena- Thanks for sharing this. I've completely forgot this quote. Your writing is a great reminder of some of the beautiful thoughts reflected throughout the series. Hope you're well this week. Cheers, -Thalia
Oooh good quote, thank you!
