I not only believe it, I am counting on it. Ozzie, the closest friend I have ever had is almost 15. He has been my life since I was 65 (I'm now 80). Consciousness, the Ground of All Being, survives death and all animals are conscious. I sometimes feel Oz and I comprise one unique consciousness. Yes. We will be together for eternity. I'm certain of it.
One of my close friends had a post death experience and then returned to his body. I trust this person and his account is very sincere. He clearly saw his family dog and other family in what can be described as heaven with Jesus, who then told him to return to earth and his former life .
I am a weird deist, not a doctrinaire Christian, and I have no certitude in the afterlife. But when I see my beloved cats at play and at rest I see the work of God. If God is love, won't our loved ones always be with us?
I love your take and reasoning on this subject. My kids ask me this question, too. In childhood I was told no, but I think yes, we will see our pets again.

This has been a question for people of all faiths for some time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cat_Who_Went_to_Heaven

Heaven is where you find it.
I like that - "Heaven is where you find it." And I guess that's what I'm looking for when I look for the beauty in life.
